Winter/Spring 2020 Curriculum

January 27 – May 1, 2020

No classes March 23 – 27, 2020

Weeks # 1-3: Down the Irish Trot (DewDrops): Dancing and singing to the songs of Ireland and England, we move and sing to teach our babies about high and low in pitch and movement. Hand-in-hand, we continue our travels through far off lands discovering steady beat – the underlying, regular pulse in music.

Weeks # 5-7: All the Way to Galway (DewDrops): Follow-the-leader, partner dance, playing with instruments, and hide-and-go-seek all the way to Galway! We find all kinds of ways to experience duration (long and short), and tempo (slow and fast). When these babies are in Imagine That classes in a few years, these words become the musical terms of legato and staccato, lento and allegro.

Weeks # 8-10: You Are My Sunshine (Cock-a-doodle-MOO!): We swoop up and we glide down; we stop and we go. Singing and moving to some childhood favorites as well as enjoying some new songs, we encourage and enjoy our little sunshines’ learning and development.

Weeks #11-13: Goin’ on a Hayride (Cock-a-doodle-MOO!): We’re goin’ on a hayride visiting all kinds of places and animals on the farm. We listen for unique animals sounds, instrument sounds, and the sparkle and wonder of our children’s voices as they explore making their own of music.
